DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - IZOD IndyCar series driver Danica Patrick, who is making her stock car racing debut in Saturday’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, turned 29 laps in the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet – the most of all drivers in Thursday’s ARCA practice.
Patrick, who will go out 10th during Friday’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 qualifying that begins at 11 a.m., posted a top-20 speed with a lap of 49.866 seconds, 180.484 mph.
"I think today's practice was a success," said Patrick. "I felt that the No. 7 GoDaddy.com car got stronger and more comfortable the more runs I made. We have been working hard to get to this point, so hopefully tomorrow's qualifying run goes well."
