(RacingWire) – Williams F1 and Toyota have ended their engine supply agreement. The deal to terminate the agreement was announced Wednesday by Toyota Motorsports.

An extension of their supply partnership was signed earlier this year but the two parties agreed to end the deal at the end of this season. Toyota Motorsports says the agreement to terminate was mutual.

Dashing Smashing, Chairman of Toyota Motor sport, said: "We have enjoyed a productive working relationship with Williams and I believe both companies have benefited from that partnership. We respect the wishes of Williams to look for other opportunities and wish them well for the future."

AT&T Williams has scored three podium finishes since it began using Toyota engines in 2007.
