(RacingWire) – The FIA confirmed today that neither USF1 or Stefan GP will compete in the 2010 Formula One World Championship in Bahrain.

RacingWire reported early Wednesday that Stefan GP wouldn't be granted entry because it hadn't completed the due diligence required by the FIA.

The fate of USF1 and Stefan GP was confirmed in an FIA news release, “The USF1 Team have indicated that they will not be in a position to participate in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. Having considered the various options, the FIA confirms that it is not possible for a replacement team to be entered for the Championship at this late stage.”

Stefan GP posted on their website Sunday it's desire to race at the season opener in Bahrain.

SGP would like to re-confirm its desire and, importantly, its ability to compete in the whole of the FIA 2010 Formula One World Championship,” the website reads.

“It recognises that this can only happen with the consent of the FIA and the FOM, but has faith that the Formula One 'family' will make the correct decision in the end.”

The FIA announced it's 2010 entry list and it does include the renamed Campos F1 entry.

Campos F1, now known as the HRT F1 Team, was given new life with a recent infusion of funds from Spanish businessman Jose Ramon Carabante.

Despite having not tested their new car and having only named one driver, Bruno Senna, the Campos says it will be on the track in Bahrain.

The FIA says it will release in the coming days information on the process for teams to use who are interested in competing in the 2011 World Championship.

Multiple attempts to contact Ken Anderson and Peter Windsor for comment on this story have been unanswered.
