ALTON, Va. (RacingWire) – The stage was set for a wild west style shootout at Virginia International Raceway. Grand-Am put a bounty on the heads of Chip Ganassi's No.01 Telmex/BMW team, winners of six straight Rolex Series Races.

Whether it was the bounty, the changing track conditions or whether it was just time for someone else to grace victory lane... the Ganassi win streak ended at six when Joao Barbosa held off Scott Pruett to win the Bosch 250 for his Action Express team.  Barbosa's Action Express co-drivers were Terry Borcheller and J.C. France.

The Action Express sister car of Darren Law and David Donohue rounded out the top three.

Barbosa took the lead with about 50 minutes left in the race and never looked back. Pruett had chances in the closing laps due to several full course cautions but he couldn't capitalize.

“I knew I had to drive really, really hard,” said Barbosa. “I was trying to make the most of it to gain a little bit of an advantage in some key spots. I think our balance was perfect to hold the off. I was trying real hard at the end.”

In GT, Jordan Taylor held off a changing Bill Auberlen and Oliver Gavin to take his first win Rolex Series win. Taylor's co-driver was Bill Lester. Lester is the first African American to win a Grand-Am race and he did it in the home town of Wendell Scott.

The GT podium was rounded out by Gunter Schaldach and Gavin in the Banner Racing Camaro and Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana in the Turner Motorsports BMW.
