(RacingWire) – Will Power held of his Penske Racing teammate Helio Castroneves to win the Edmonton round of the IZOD IndyCar Series.

Power beat Castroneves by .8089 seconds at the line. It was Power's fourth win of the season and second at Edmonton.
"It was so bloody hard there at the end with Helio and Dario (Franchitti) pushing me along,” said Power. “I just couldn't gap them. It's good for Verizon and also good for Team Penske. To finish 1-2 is really good."
Pole sitter Takuma Sato (KV Racing) led the first 19 laps of the race before he locked up his brakes and slid wide. Power and two other drivers slipped past Sato.
"It is disappointing finishing in the back like this,” Sato said. “The start was very exciting. I had a good feeling leading the race. Then I had a little problem with the balance and lost some positions.
On lap 39, Sato made contact with Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport) putting Sato a lap down and earning Hunter-Reay a penalty for avoidable contact.
Hunter-Reay's teammate Mike Conway was also penalized for avoidable contact after a run in with Oriol Servia.
Sebastian Bourdais (Dale Coyne) had his best finish of the year with a sixth place showing.
Dario Franchitti (Ganassi) finished third. Tony Kanaan (KV Racing) and Justin Wilson (Dreyer & Reinbold) Rounded out the top five.
Andretti Autosport teammates Hunter-Reay, Conway and Danica Patrick finished seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.
Patrick said of her ninth place finish, "We had a really solid race. We had some strong restarts and my crew was fantastic in the pits. Near the end of the race, I just didn't have the speed to hold my position.”
