(RacingWire) - Kyle Busch led every lap on his way to victory lane at the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Speedway.
The win, coupled with last night's Camping World Truck Series victory, sets up Busch for the possibility of sweeping all three national series races this weekend. Busch is the only driver to accomplish that feat. He did it last year at Bristol.
Carl Edwards was the only driver who came close to leading in the 200 lap Nationwide Series event. He was able to race Busch side-by-side for a few laps nearly taking lead the with 19 to go, but he was never able to lead at the stripe.
Edwards finished second with Kevin Harvick a distant third.
Ryan Newman was fourth and Reed Sorensen was first series regular to cross the line, becoming the first finisher in the points.
Daytona 500 Champion Trevor Bayne hit the wall hard with 35 laps to go ending what was up to that point, a pretty good day.
Danica Patrick stayed out of trouble on her way to a 17th place finish, three laps back. Only 14 cars finished on the lead lap.
The next race on the Nationwide Series schedule is March 5 (3 p.m. ET) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
