(RacingWire) - Danica Patrick is finalizing a deal to race the full 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule with Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports. That according to a report from the Associated Press.

The report also reveals plans for Patrick to drive in select Sprint Cup races with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Stewart-Hass spokesman Mike Arning tells RacingWire in an e-mail, "It's all speculation, and until Danica Patrick announces her career plans, that's all it will be."
RacingWire has calls and e-mails out to reps for Patrick and JR Motorsports but has received no response as of yet.
Patrick has raced a limited Nationwide schedule over the last two years with modest success.
She has used her time in NASCAR to help her decide whether to make the jump to stock cars full time.

Her decision may have been made a little easier by an impressive showing in the July Nationwide race at Daytona International Raceway where she led in the closing laps. She finished 10th in the race but caught the eye of many.
A move to NASCAR would be a huge blow to the IndyCar Series where Patrick is clearly their most popular driver.
Danica has one victory and 60 top-10 finishes in 109 IndyCar series starts. She has also finished 97 of those 109 races.
