MOORESVILLE, N.C. - The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is set to unleash high-energy racing action at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 6th. Truck Series driver and 2006 champion Todd Bodine can’t wait for the race weekend to begin. Bodine, of Chemung, NY, will race against his brother Geoff Bodine for the first time in nearly six years. And, the two brothers will be grinning from ear-to-ear as Todd Bodine steers his No. 30 The Night Train Tundra around the Hampton, Ga., mile and a half race track paying tribute to the gold medal success of the US Bobsled team in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

We are racing The Night Train Tundra in Atlanta to celebrate the gold medal win for the US Bobsled team in the Winter Olympics. The special paint scheme is for all of the race drivers and celebrities that have donated their time to raise money by racing in the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Challenge over the past five years. They donated their time to raise money for the US Bobsled team and this is their gold medal, too,” said Bodine, whose brother Geoff spearheaded the Bo-Dyn Bobsled Project to build better bobsleds for the US Bobsled team in 1992.

In addition to the gold medal won by the US Bobsled team, it’s impossible to mention Todd Bodine and Atlanta Motor Speedway and not think of victory lane. Bodine is tied for the most Truck Series top-fives and most top-tens at the track. He’s finished all but three laps in nine NCWTS races and he’s led laps in 11 races spanning each of NASCAR’s three premier divisions including 5 truck races.

I love racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The surface is really worn out, so experience comes into play. I’ve always been good at Atlanta, even on the old Atlanta (configuration). I got my best Cup Series finish there and it’s just been a track where I’ve always run well and always adapted well,” explained Bodine, who has an average running position of 7.576 according to NASCAR Loop Data Statistics for the Truck Series.

Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. and the Germain Racing crew have prepared chassis TRD-124 to be No. 30 The Night Train Tundra in Atlanta. The truck went to victory lane at Texas last June and spent the off-season receiving a complete overhaul.

A key to consistently running up front is to always work on improving your equipment whether it is building new Tundra trucks or making your strong trucks stronger,” said Hillman, who overhauled a chassis that was dominant in five of seven races in 2009.
