LONG POND, Pa. (RacingWire) - Here are news and notes from the "Tricky Triangle", Pocono Raceway.
Harvick wins truck race
Kevin Harvick Inc. dominated the Camping World Truck Series event that was resumed after Saturday’s rain out. With Harvick at the helm of the No. 2 Chevrolet, he secured the trophy and for the second consecutive year took a KHI truck to victory lane.
Kyle Busch finished second in his NO. 18 Toyota Tundra.
Following the race, the No. 13 team of Johnny Sauter failed post-race inspection. An announcement on penalties will be revealed on Tuesday.
Over the Wall - Making a Splash
The postponed ARCA event got underway following the conclusion of the CWTS event. An early red flag was displayed when Buster Graham’s Dodge spun and ejected itself from the track. The driver of the No. 59 from Lafayette, LA was taken to a nearby facility for a mandatory check-up after a wicked ride. The machine rested in the same position throughout the remainder of the race because water made retrieving the vehicle difficult.
RCR racing wins ARCA Race
Ty Dillon, grandson of Richard Childress, drove his No. 41 machine to its seventh win in the 2011 ARCA season. This is Dillon’s first win at the tricky triangle. His teammate and the June winner of the ARCA race, Tim George Jr., finished second. This is Dillon’s third consecutive win. He is presently the points leader.
The Blue Deuce takes the checkers
Brad Keselowski powered the No. 2 Miller Light Dodge to a victory on the tricky triangle. In this race, Mother Nature decided to interrupt and bring out a lengthy red flag. After track drying efforts, the Blue Deuce surged to the front of the field and there was no looking back. Keselowski, while elated for the win, was very drained in victory lane. This win comes on the heals of a nasty practice crash earlier this week from which Brad is still sore and drained.
Kyle Busch drover his NO. 18 Toyota to a second place finish and his brother Kurt brought home his Penske Dodge, a team car to Keselowski, in third. An after race altercation between Kurt Busch and Jimmie Johnson got very heated on pit row.
